Rajah Caruth Is Staying at JR Motorsports for the 2027 Season

Rajah Caruth’s NASCAR future is becoming much clearer, and the young driver is getting another opportunity to prove himself with one of the sport’s top organizations. JR Motorsports co owner Kelley Earnhardt Miller confirmed Tuesday that Caruth will return to the organization for the entire 2027 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season.

Caruth will once again drive the No. 88 Chevrolet, but the biggest difference will be having a full-time schedule. During the 2026 season, he split his time between JR Motorsports and Jordan Anderson Racing, making it difficult to maintain consistency throughout the year.

Now, Caruth will have an opportunity to build momentum with the same organization throughout an entire season.

JR Motorsports Believes in Caruth

The announcement is an important vote of confidence from JR Motorsports. Caruth has shown plenty of potential during his first season competing in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, including several impressive performances against experienced competition.

He finished second at Iowa Speedway behind teammate Carson Kvapil and also collected a top-five finish at Rockingham. Those performances helped demonstrate why the organization believes he deserves another opportunity.

Earnhardt Miller made it clear that Caruth has earned his place, saying he deserves another year with the team.

A Big Opportunity in 2027

Caruth’s return also gives him something he did not consistently have this season: stability. Competing full-time in the No. 88 should allow him to develop stronger chemistry with his team and focus on improving his results.

The goal for 2027 will undoubtedly be competing for victories and making a deeper championship run.

Caruth has already proven he belongs at this level, but another full season with JR Motorsports could be exactly what he needs to take the next step. With the organization continuing to invest in his development, 2027 could become a major season for his NASCAR career.
