ARCA West Championship on the Line as Series Heads to Kern Raceway This Weekend

The ARCA Menards Series West season reaches its conclusion this weekend, and NASCAR fans could be in for a dramatic night of short track racing at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway in Bakersfield, California.

The NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by the West Coast Stock Car Motorsports Hall of Fame takes place Saturday, October 31, with the championship and several important battles highlighting the season finale. With 150 laps scheduled around the half-mile oval, drivers will have one final opportunity to finish their seasons on a high note.

Trevor Huddleston on the Verge of Another Championship

Trevor Huddleston enters the finale in the driver’s seat, holding a 39 point advantage over Mason Massey in the championship standings.

The High Point Racing driver has enjoyed another strong campaign, collecting two victories, including consecutive wins at Shasta Speedway and Colorado National Speedway. Now, he is positioned to capture his second consecutive ARCA Menards Series West championship.

Even more impressive, Huddleston only needs to take the green flag Saturday to secure the title. That gives him a substantial advantage heading into the weekend, although he will still be looking to close the season with another strong performance.

Massey, meanwhile, has one final opportunity to challenge the championship leader. He opened the season with a victory at Kern Raceway in February, meaning he already knows how to find success at this track.

The Battle Behind the Championship Leader

While Huddleston has control of the title fight, the battle for second place could provide plenty of excitement.

Massey holds a narrow four-point advantage over Robbie Kennealy, who is searching for his first victory of the season. Kennealy has consistently finished near the front, recording two runner-up finishes and seven top five results through the first 12 races.

Hailie Deegan is another driver to watch. After earning her first victory in seven years at Madera Speedway, she enters the finale hoping to secure fourth place in the standings.

Everything to Watch Saturday Night

The NAPA Auto Parts 150 is scheduled for Saturday at 10 p.m. ET, with live coverage available on FloRacing.

Although the championship leader has a comfortable cushion, Kern Raceway has produced dramatic finishes before. With several drivers fighting for important positions, the season finale could deliver plenty of action.

Huddleston may have the championship nearly secured, but the fight for the final checkered flag is far from over.
