And naturally, NASCAR fans noticed.
Byron has generally kept his personal life private, which makes the public appearances with Darnell particularly interesting.
The two have already sparked plenty of speculation this summer, and another public outing is only going to fuel it.
Now they are showing up together at one of the biggest sporting events in the country.
For Byron, it also offered a pretty nice escape from the racetrack.
The Hendrick Motorsports driver endured a frustrating Southern 500 at Darlington after a mechanical failure ended his night early.
A few days later, he’s watching world-class tennis in New York.
