Jesse Love Wins the Nu Way 225 at Gateway
Jesse Love came through when it mattered most Saturday night, capturing the Nu Way 225 at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway and picking up a massive victory during the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Chase.
Love entered the night as one of the championship contenders and started on the front row alongside pole-sitter Carson Kvapil. After a hard-fought race around the 1.25-mile Gateway oval, Love was the driver who ultimately found his way to victory lane.
Love Delivers When It Counts
The No. 2 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet showed speed throughout the night, but Love had to work for the victory.
Gateway is a track where track position, tire management and restarts can completely change the complexion of a race. Love stayed patient and continued putting himself in position as the race unfolded.
That patience paid off when the battle for the win intensified late.
Love was able to make the necessary moves and keep the competition behind him, securing one of the biggest victories of his season.
Huge For The Championship
The timing of the victory couldn’t be better.
Love entered the Chase sitting sixth in the championship standings, making this win extremely valuable as the playoff field continues to battle for the championship.
After finishing runner-up in the 2025 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series championship, Love knows exactly what it takes to make a deep playoff run. Now, he has another major victory to add to his résumé.
The win also gives Richard Childress Racing another reason to believe it can fight for the championship as the Chase continues.
