NASCAR is honoring two of its most recognizable figures for their impact away from the racetrack. Kyle Busch and Greg Biffle have been named co-champions of the 2026 Comcast Community Champion of the Year Award, marking the first time the honor has been shared by two individuals.
The award recognizes people in the NASCAR community who use their platform and resources to help others. Busch and Biffle are being celebrated for their charitable work and the lasting difference they made in the lives of families and communities.
Comcast will donate $120,000 in connection with the award, with $60,000 going to each driver’s charitable organization.
Busch Helped Families Facing Infertility
Busch and his wife, Samantha, founded the Bundle of Joy Fund after experiencing infertility themselves. Their organization provides financial assistance to families pursuing fertility treatments, helping others navigate a difficult and often expensive process.
Since its creation, the fund has awarded more than $2.5 million in grants to nearly 200 families. Its work has also helped welcome 114 babies.
Busch was known throughout his racing career for his fierce competitiveness and impressive accomplishments behind the wheel. However, his charitable efforts showed another side of the two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, who helped turn a personal challenge into an opportunity to support other families.
The award will help the Bundle of Joy Fund continue its mission.
Biffle’s Efforts Following Hurricane Helene
Biffle is being recognized for his extraordinary response to Hurricane Helene, which devastated communities across parts of the southeastern United States in 2024.
The former NASCAR driver used his personal helicopter for 14 consecutive days to reach stranded residents and assist with rescue efforts. His work helped bring attention to the challenges facing people in areas that were difficult to access after the storm.
His commitment to helping others continues through the Biffle Family Legacy Impact Fund, which supports communities and charitable causes in need.
Honoring Two Lasting Legacies
The recognition carries additional significance following the deaths of both drivers in 2026. Their contributions to NASCAR extended beyond victories, championships and memorable moments on the track.
By naming Busch and Biffle co-champions, Comcast is recognizing the compassion and generosity that defined important parts of their lives.
Their legacies will continue through the organizations they helped establish, ensuring their impact reaches families and communities for years to come.
