Joey Logano has done it again at Bristol.
The Team Penske driver survived a chaotic closing stretch Saturday night to win the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, picking up his third victory of the 2026 season and his third career win at the Tennessee short track.
Blaney Dominates Early
Ryan Blaney looked like the driver to beat for much of the night.
The No. 12 Team Penske Ford led a race-high 202 of the 500 laps and appeared to have control of the race. Blaney also captured the second stage after Logano won Stage 1, giving Penske control of the opening half of the race.
But Bristol had plenty of chaos waiting.
Everything Changes Late
With just 43 laps remaining, Blaney’s night came crashing down.
Carson Hocevar made contact with Blaney’s Ford, sending the No. 12 into a crash and ending what had been a dominant performance. Blaney was ultimately credited with 33rd place, last among the Chase drivers.
The late caution completely changed the complexion of the race.
Logano suddenly found himself in position to battle for the win, while Hocevar and Ty Gibbs fought for the lead.
Logano Makes His Move
Logano took advantage of the chaos and made his move when it mattered most.
The No. 22 Ford worked its way toward the front and eventually slipped past the battling Hocevar and Gibbs. Logano held on through the closing laps to take the checkered flag.
Kyle Larson finished second, while Hocevar recovered to finish third. Christopher Bell and Gibbs rounded out the top five.
The victory is the 40th Cup Series win of Logano’s career and gives him another huge result during the Chase. Larson’s runner-up finish also moved him into the lead of the Cup Series playoff standings.
Bristol Drama Continues After the Race
The drama didn’t end when Logano took the checkered flag.
Blaney waited on pit road after the race and confronted Hocevar over the incident that ended his night. The two drivers eventually got into a physical altercation, adding another layer to an already wild Bristol race.
Bristol delivered everything fans could have asked for: a dominant early run, a late-race collapse, a playoff shake up and post race fireworks.
And when the chaos finally settled, Joey Logano was the one standing in Victory Lane.
