Carson Hocevar has officially become NASCAR’s villain.
And honestly?
He seems to be having the time of his life.
Hocevar’s latest controversy came at Darlington, where he sent Brad Keselowski spinning during the Southern 500. Keselowski did not exactly hide his feelings afterward, warning Hocevar that payback was coming.
Most drivers might have tried to cool things down.
Hocevar basically shrugged.
That is becoming the defining characteristic of his Cup career.
According to Racing Insights, Hocevar has been involved in an on-track run-in with another driver at 16 of the 63 Cup race weekends since the start of 2025.
That’s roughly one out of every four races.
And now he’s entering the playoffs with a growing list of enemies.
The crazy part?
Hocevar doesn’t seem interested in changing.
He openly embraces the entertainment side of NASCAR and has defended his aggressive style as part of what makes the sport fun.
That makes him incredibly easy to hate.
It also makes him incredibly valuable to NASCAR.
