Logano Wins Richmond, But Larson Stole the Show

Joey Logano may have taken the checkered flag at Richmond Raceway, but Saturday night belonged to Kyle Larson.

Logano secured his second NASCAR Cup Series victory of the season and his second win in the last four races, holding off Chase Briscoe by 0.392 seconds after leading 95 laps in the Cook Out 400.

But while Logano celebrated in Victory Lane, Larson was already on a completely different mission.

After finishing sixth at Richmond, Larson immediately turned his attention to Knoxville, where he had traveled following the Cup race to compete in the prestigious Knoxville Nationals. The defending Cup Series champion had already spent the week tearing through Iowa’s dirt scene, and the Saturday night double became one of the wildest schedules in modern motorsports.

Larson didn’t just show up at Knoxville — he dominated.

The Hendrick Motorsports star captured the Knoxville Nationals, adding another massive sprint-car victory to a season that has once again showcased his ridiculous versatility.

So yes, Logano won Richmond.

But Larson won the night.
