Everybody Hates Carson Hocevar — Which Means NASCAR Has Its Next Superstar

Popular

NASCAR fans spent years begging for another driver who would actually make people feel something.

Well, congratulations.

You got Carson Hocevar.

Everybody is mad at him.

Seriously.

Brad Keselowski is mad. Other drivers have been mad. Fans are either defending him with their lives or wondering why he hasn’t been parked in the garage yet.

And Hocevar?

He does not appear to care.

After spinning Keselowski at Darlington, Hocevar was asked about the incident and essentially responded:

“Yeah, he spun.”

When told Keselowski was still angry?

“I guess, that’s what I hear.”

When asked if he wanted to talk to Keselowski?

“Nah, not really.”

Brother.

This is NASCAR.

Not a corporate retreat.

And honestly, the sport needs this.

Hocevar already has a Cup win at Talladega and entered the 2026 Chase as the No. 12 seed.

He’s young. He’s fast. He’s aggressive.

And apparently he has absolutely zero interest in being everybody’s buddy.

That combination is either going to create a future champion…

or the greatest NASCAR villain we’ve seen in 20 years.

Either way, I’m buying the ticket.
