Red Bull Star Looks to Keep Winning as Austin Awaits
Max Verstappen has found his winning form at the perfect time, and the four-time world champion now has another opportunity to extend his impressive streak at the United States Grand Prix.
After a challenging first half of the 2026 Formula 1 season, Verstappen and Red Bull Racing have made significant progress. The Dutchman has won the last two Grands Prix in Bahrain and Singapore, putting together one of his strongest stretches of the season and showing that Red Bull can compete at the front.
However, the question remains whether Verstappen can maintain that momentum at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas.
Red Bull Finally Finding Its Rhythm
Verstappen’s recent success has been built on improved performance from his Red Bull car and his ability to capitalize on opportunities. Earlier in the season, the team struggled to match Mercedes and other leading competitors consistently.
That situation has changed in recent races. Verstappen has been more competitive in qualifying and has delivered strong performances on Sundays, demonstrating why he remains one of Formula 1’s most dangerous drivers.
His victory in Singapore was particularly impressive, as he controlled the race from pole position and secured another important result for Red Bull.
If the team can maintain its recent pace, Verstappen could challenge for another victory in Austin.
Can Verstappen Keep the Momentum Going?
Circuit of The Americas presents a different challenge from Singapore. The American circuit features fast corners, heavy braking zones and several opportunities for overtaking, meaning qualifying and race strategy could play major roles in determining the winner.
Mercedes and championship leader Kimi Antonelli will also be looking to respond. Verstappen’s recent victories have made the championship battle more interesting, but he still faces a substantial points deficit.
For Verstappen, the immediate goal is to continue collecting victories and prove Red Bull’s recent improvements can translate across different circuits.
Another strong weekend would further establish him as a contender capable of challenging the frontrunners whenever his car delivers the necessary performance.
Verstappen has already shown that he can turn a difficult season around. If Red Bull continues improving, his hot streak might not be finished just yet.
