Squirrel McNutt Set to Race Full Time in ARCA in 2027

Squirrel McNutt is taking the next major step in his racing career, as George Siciliano is expected to compete full-time in the ARCA Menards Series during the 2027 season. The popular content creator has been building his experience in stock car racing throughout 2026, and a full-time campaign will give him the opportunity to continue developing behind the wheel.

The announcement is expected this week, with McNutt reportedly set to drive for Rette Jones Racing. His move comes alongside longtime friend and fellow automotive personality Cleetus McFarland, who is also expected to compete full time in ARCA next season.

McNutt Continues His Racing Journey

McNutt, who has gained a following through his appearances alongside McFarland, began making the transition from online content creator to competitive race car driver earlier this year.

His 2026 schedule included starts in both the ARCA Menards Series East and the national ARCA Menards Series. He made his East Series debut at Hickory Motor Speedway before continuing his development at Rockingham Speedway.

McNutt finished ninth at Rockingham, showing progress as he gained more experience in stock cars. He then stepped up to the national series, competing at Kansas Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway before adding more races to his schedule.

One of his notable performances came at Michigan International Speedway, where he recorded a top 10 finish. Those starts gave him valuable experience on different track types and helped prepare him for the demands of a full season.

Rette Jones Racing Opportunity

A full-time opportunity with Rette Jones Racing would give McNutt a chance to build consistency throughout the 2027 campaign. Rather than preparing for individual races, he would be able to work with his team across an entire schedule and develop a better understanding of the car from week to week.

The ARCA Menards Series features a variety of challenges, including short tracks, superspeedways, intermediate tracks and road courses. Navigating those different circuits will test McNutt’s adaptability as he faces more experienced competitors.

His growing online audience could also bring additional attention to the series, particularly with McFarland expected to compete full-time as well.

Looking Ahead to 2027

The 2027 season represents a significant opportunity for McNutt to prove himself as a developing racer. While his background has helped introduce him to a large audience, success on the track will depend on preparation, consistency and continued improvement.

A full-time schedule should provide more opportunities to learn, gain confidence and compete against established ARCA drivers.

McNutt still has plenty to prove, but his move toward a full season marks another important milestone in his racing journey. With the announcement expected soon, fans could be preparing to see much more of Squirrel McNutt at the track in 2027.
