Mosack Delivers a Big Qualifying Lap

Connor Mosack is starting his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series weekend in the best possible position after capturing the pole for Friday night’s Ecosave 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Driving the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports, Mosack posted a lap of 29.961 seconds at 180.234 mph to claim the top starting spot. The Charlotte native delivered when it mattered, securing his second career Truck Series pole and first of the 2026 season.

The qualifying performance gives Mosack an opportunity to compete for a victory in front of his home crowd. With the Truck Series Chase continuing to heat up, starting at the front could prove valuable as drivers battle for important championship points.

A Special Weekend for Spire Motorsports

Mosack’s truck features a special paint scheme honoring Kyle Busch Motorsports and its 100th Truck Series victory. The design celebrates an important chapter in the series’ history and gives the weekend additional significance for the Spire Motorsports team.

Busch and his former team played a major role in the Truck Series, building a reputation for winning races and developing competitive equipment. The tribute adds another storyline to Mosack’s pole-winning performance.

Spire Motorsports has continued to show speed throughout the season, and Mosack has contributed with several strong runs. Across his nine Truck Series starts for the organization in 2026, he has recorded two top-five finishes and four top 10 results.

His best finish came at Indianapolis Raceway Park in July, where he finished second after qualifying seventh. Now, Mosack has another opportunity to turn strong speed into a memorable result.

A Tough Challenge Awaits

Mosack will have plenty of competition when the green flag waves. Tanner Gray is set to start alongside him on the front row, while championship contenders Kaden Honeycutt, Rajah Caruth and Landen Lewis will start inside the top five.

Starting first provides Mosack with track position, but maintaining that advantage over the course of the race will be the real challenge. Pit strategy, restarts and avoiding trouble will all play important roles in determining the winner.

The 200-mile event is scheduled for Friday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway, with coverage beginning at 5 p.m. Eastern on FS1.

Can Mosack Finish the Job?

Mosack has already accomplished the first major goal of the weekend by putting his truck on the pole. Now, he will look to carry that momentum into the race and fight for his first Truck Series victory of the season.

With home-track support, a fast Chevrolet and a special tribute scheme, Mosack has plenty of reasons to be excited about Friday night. A strong finish would make an already impressive qualifying performance even more memorable.
